Meet Zoe

So Zoe is finally here!! She is almost a week old now and we are enjoying every minute with her! Toby loves to hold her and hold her hands when we are changing her diaper. He is such a great big brother!
Last Friday (the 30th) I was starting to have contractions. At lunch time they were there but not very often and I actually didn't know they were contractions! Then Toby went down for a nap and Brian and I were just talking on the couch when I noticed I was having the same feelings for a while now. They didn't feel like contractions, or what I thought contractions should feel like. So by 5:30 I started writing down how often they were coming. They were about 3 to 5 mins by that point but still not very strong. We went to dinner in the cafeteria here and I was still recording the contractions. Then we went to the coffee shop here on campus and I walked around to see if they would get stronger or go away. By 7:30 I called the doctor to see what they thought and they told me to go to the hospital. So we went home, grabbed our bags, got Toby all settled with Domper who was staying with him, said goodbye while trying to explain what was happening, then off to the hospital we went! We got there a little before 9 and by 9 I was all hooked up to monitors and they were going to check my progress to see if I was going to stay or go home. They checked and I was 5 cm already!! They did some blood work, gave me my epidural, broke my water and by 12:19 am she was here!! It was fast and I was so thankful for that! I have decided that for some reason I deliver babies pretty quick and easy and for that I am super thankful!! :)

Here are a few pictures of our little baby girl!

I pray that she will come to know the Lord at an early age and will serve Him all of her life.
