Toby's nose

A day or two after we got to Indiana Toby and my brother Chad had an accident. Toby wanted Chad to chase him down the hallway. Chad bent down to pick him up but lost his balance. Since they were in a hallway there was no room for them to fall so instead of crushing Toby (which I appreciated) he had to drag him a little bit into the hallway. Chad broke his toe and Toby ended up with this nice looking rug burn on his nose.

Toby loves playing with his little cousin Xavier.
Toby took this picture of Xavier and it ended up being one of the best ones we have!
Toby wanted to help work on the new room. he was very limited to what he could do.
He is not ashamed of his nose at all! He can still look cute in pictures with his nose!

Luckily his nose is better for Christmas pictures. Just wanted to show you how bad it was! :)

It worked!!

Normally I am not able to upload pictures from my apartment on my blog but I thought today I would give it a try again. It worked!! YAY!
Toby left with my mom today for Indiana and I don't know what to do with myself without him always around. It is nice but at the same time miserable! I miss him so much. A few of the guys in our building have stopped by to say bye to him today and we have had to tell them he is gone. He is quite popular around Geneva campus! :)

This is one of his buddies. We call him Kase. He graduated this semester so he won't be here next semester. He would always play with Toby outside when it was nice. They played golf, frisbee, football whatever sport Toby was playing. We are going to miss him next semester.

My Bible study girls came over for our last meeting this semester and we had a mini Christmas party. Here they are again. Jenine, Ashley, Amanda and Amy! I love these girls!

Toby's crazy hair after he woke up from his nap. What a little cutie!

So hopefully we can do more posts now that I am able to post pictures from home. Unless this is a fluke but I sure hope it lasts!!

The past month.

I realize that it has been a long time since I posted last. So here is an update of what we have been doing. First of all Brian and I went on a date and left Toby with Domper and Christy. He loves playing with these 2 and so he had so much fun. I told them if they wanted to try to get some good pictures of him so we could use one for our Christmas card that would be awesome. Well they did a great job and got some awesome pictures! Here are a few of them.

Toby's model picture. What a stud!!
Looking down from the star.
Waving hello in his cute little outfit.
He is into licking everything...... even Christy!
Look at all the leaves!
My girls in my Bible study. We went to Chipotle together (b/c that place rocks!) and we had such a great time!
Brian's parents came to visit for Thanksgiving. We had Christmas with them too.

He decided that helping clean after dinner is a cool thing to do. Washing the counters.
Oh and helping clean the dishes too! Thanks Domper for making him think this is a cool thing to do!! :)
It was no shave November for Brian and so Toby taking a close look at how hairy daddy is.

Okay and for everyone that wants to see a pregnant picture here you go. Toby loves to try to listen to his baby sister and see if she says anything. :) You can totally tell I am pregnant, everywhere!!

for fun

I was just looking through some old pictures and found one of our favorites of Brian and Toby. We took another one just like. Can you see the difference? :)

Toby also got a fun new toy from a friend here. He calls it his 'football guy'.

Toby loves riding his tricycle. However he hasn't quite learned how to use the pedals so he just moves along with his feet on the ground.

Our most recent family picture. I love my family!

Homecoming weekend

This past weekend was Homecoming weekend here and Geneva. There was so much for us to do. In the morning I went on the family fun walk with 3 other ladies here. We ended on the football field where Toby and Brian were playing waiting for us. Toby loved being able to play on the actual football field. We got to ride a train and watch Taylor freeze in the dunk tank. Toby got to hit the button a couple times to make him fall in. He also loved that! Then there was the football game Saturday night. We lost the game but it was still a fun time! Oh and Friday night the RA's in the apartments had an event where they rented a rock climbing wall and a bungy jump. Toby loved the jump.....he didn't try the wall. Here are some pictures.

Toby jumping.
Getting all strapped in.
Toby and Daddy got glow bands. Showing them off.
Family photo at the game.
Toby waiting for the game to start. Football sweatshirt on and all!
Going out in the morning for the fun walk.
Saturday morning goofing off for the camera!
Finally a good smile shot!

I will try to get some of the pictures from the walk to get on here. It was a fun weekend!

Food is good.

Being pregnant food is very important!! I am not having very healthy cravings (fried foods for example) and I am not eating the greatest for my meals.
I remember back when I was pregnant with Toby I craved red meat and eggs. So for every meal I ate either eggs or some sort of red meat and vegetables. I also walked everyday for the last few months of my pregnancy. I was feeling great by the time my due date came along. Well with this one I eat in a cafeteria every lunch and dinner. There might be a selection of food but how healthy are my options? Are the veggies I am eating even good for me? Where did the meat I am eating actually come from? I have been feeling gross lately and like I wish I could just go back to eating meat and vegetables that I cook every night for dinner. With our money situation we are not able to do lots of grocery shopping to be able to do that so I just have to try and be creative in the cafeteria.
However, Tuesdays (today) for lunch Brian meets with one of his RA's over lunch and Toby and I usually will eat with a student or friend or someone but today we had nothing planned. So I looked through my kitchen and came up with a pretty decent meal for what I had. I found some beef in the freezer and I had noodles and spaghetti sauce, garlic bread and some broccoli. So I made some spaghetti with meat sauce and had broccoli and garlic bread. My mom would be so proud of me when she hears that I cooked the broccoli and I ate it! I hate cooked broccoli unless it is mixed in with lots of other things! Today I cooked and ate it just as it was! Toby even had broccoli mixed in with his spaghetti and he had grapes! I am feeling good about our eating today. While it isn't the BEST we could eat it was the best we had at home! And for dinner - we are going to the cafeteria.......

Any suggestions on fast, cheap, healthy meals? I am all ears!
